PLM CATIA V5/PDM Training

By this training the users should be enabled to efficiently work in the CATIA V5 / SAP environment of a global automotive supplier.
The training was addressed to engineers of the Japanese site whose know-how was differing very much (0-70%).

By this training the users should be enabled to efficiently work in the CATIA V5 / SAP environment of a global automotive supplier.
The training was addressed to engineers of the Japanese site whose know-how was differing very much (0-70%).
Realisation
The training was provided in English and on-site. Within the 15 days the users had been introduced as well the required CATIA V5 knowledge and handling with the CAD/SAP-PLM interface. Hence the training was partitioned with regards to product-specific methods of the customer:
- CATIA V5 2D/3D basics, fundamentals of the CATIA V5 methods
- Preparation for the customer specific methods
- Surface modelling
- CATIA V5 assembly handling
- CATIA V5 / SAP PLM interface – introduction in the customer’s SAP system
- Conception of the complete data life cycle: find, load/save, create, change, replace, release data and trouble-shooting
- Working in context CAD – meta data
RLE‘s Competence
Long-time experience in 3D-CAD and PDM in the fields of training and methodology development. In this context focus was on the 3D-CAD system CATIA V5.
Value for the customer
Due to the tailored training users with different qualification and knowledge could successfully be trained in working with CATIA V5 and the SAP-PLM interface. Cause of further tailored task orientation users could be ensured providing their day-to-day work in a best efficient manner.
