Due to constantly growing process structures global operating PDM systems get more and more complex and hard to control.
In this environment RLE received the order by a European automotive manufacturer to execute the deployment of the PLM environment and the according project management.

All brand names, product names and abbreviations are the property of their respective companies.

  • Development of the global change management process, in particular for engineering processes and CAD releasing
  • Execution of PLM deployment projects (for Teamcenter and CATIA V5)
  • Execution of 1st Level Support and methods training
  • Administration of back offices for data translation (CAD data in PDM-structures ), data integration and multisite support

RLE set up a managed service team at two European development sites to implement projects and services concerning processes, methods, tools and information (PMTI). This centrally controlled team constitutes the interface area between IT and Business.

Based on extensive skills in the fields of PDM (Teamcenter), CAD (CATIA V5, I-DEAS, FIDES), project management (ITIL,PRINCE2) and business process consulting RLE is able to provide an appropriate team with a flexibly sourcing model to solve the project task.

A high flexibility of team members can be achieved due to versatility in various fields / applications – this allows to catch up support peaks and execute ad-hoc business tasks in a more organised manner. As a result of the service pool the customer has recently achieved a 20% saving of the support resources from 2008 to 2009 for almost identical tasks.
